Students learn about environments, cultures, and issues in nations and regions outside the US. This experience may be met by courses about other parts of the world (including intermediate or advanced language study that includes culture), or by study abroad.

In addition to the above course options for the Global Awareness Badge, this requirement may also be satisfied by successful completion of a UC Education Abroad Program course. The course must be taken for a letter grade and may not be taken on a pass/no pass basis unless the course is only offered on a pass/no pass basis. You must complete the course with a C- or better.
